EPOCH S type load cell is a versatile device that functions effectively in both compression and tension applications. When used with the EPOCH Tension shackle, it operates in tension mode. These load cells are meticulously calibrated with Master load cells to ensure precision and reliability. Specifically designed S type load cell transducers have been successfully supplied for concrete batching plants and universal load testing applications. Customized thread dimensions are also available to meet specific customer requirements. Additionally, a variety of S type load cells with different mV sensitivity ranges are offered to cater to diverse needs.
The functioning of S type load cells relies on strain gauge technology, where strain gauges are integrated into a Wheatstone bridge. The Wheatstone bridge is an electrical circuit utilized to measure unknown electrical resistance by balancing two legs of the bridge circuit. This setup enables the measurement of compression and tension loads from the S type load cell. EPOCH's array of solutions includes applications for concrete batching plants, conveyor belt weighing systems, self-align shackle fixation for tension applications at both ends of the load cell, and load cells for Gravimetric Feeder Systems.
